Russian tanks spread near the Afghan border before training in Central Asia

Moscow: Russian tanks were deployed near the Afghan Tajik border on Tuesday before Military Training next month and Moscow announced more training in Uzbekan neighbors as regional tensions for territorial profits in Afghanistan remained high.

“Upon arrival in the range, the crew began to prepare their position and provide protection for combat vehicles,” said the statement.
Together drill, involving Russian troops, Tajik and Uzbek, will take 20 km from the Afghanistan border in Tajikistan from August 5-10, the Russian armed forces on Monday.
On Tuesday, Russia said the training together with Uzbek forces in South Uzbekistan, also near the Afghan border, will take place from July 30 to August 10, involving around 1,500 soldiers and 200 vehicles, including airplanes.
