Mumbai: For the second day in a row, Covid-19 vaccination will not occur in the city due to lack of doses.
BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) told that vaccination will now continue on Friday.
The Civic body will receive new stock on Wednesday late at night and it will be distributed in government agencies and civil society on Thursday.
BMC will receive a new stock of 61,200 doses including 50,000 covishield and 11,200 covaxin.
“The vaccine will be distributed throughout the day after available.
Residents will not be vaccinated on Thursday (July 22 2021).
However, vaccination will begin on Friday, July 23, 2021, in government and Civic’s body centers in Mumbai,” BMC said.
Some city corporations in the MMR region continue to face a lack of doses.
Because of lack of vaccines, vaccination will also not be done in the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) area.
