Agra: A senior professor in college, who allegedly made a demeaning statement against the IRANI Union Minister in an Facebook post, was sent to prison after he gave up in court in the Firozabad district.
In the complaint proposed by the BJP District Vice President and the City Council of Uday Pratap Singh, Firozabad police have registered FIR against Shaharyar Ali, head of the historical department in Srk College, in March to accuse Iran’s “obscene” pole.
Professor Ali was ordered under the IPC 505 (2) section (promoting hostility / hatred) and Section 67A of the Information Technology Act (Amendment), 2008.
