Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh: The Arunachal Pradesh government aims to docate 100 percent of the country’s population against Covid-19 in mid-August, said Minister of Pema Khandu.
When speaking at the sixth Virtual E-Pragati meeting with the district administration on Thursday, the minister’s chairman emphasized the base for drive vaccination rather than a population census or selection roll to provide the correct vaccination status.
“This will provide the status of the correct vaccination dose because most of the population of interior districts may have their names in selection rolls from their respective districts but are resolved in urban areas in other districts, where they might get their Jab,” he said.
He gave an example of the Capital Complex of Itanagar (ICC), which has been vaccinated above 100 percent of the population, while in districts such as Kra-chest, less than 50 percent of the population has been vaccinated, in accordance with the selection roll.
A total of 7,91,371 the covid-19 vaccine dose was given in Arunachal Pradesh so far, including 6,42,785 the first dose and 1,48,586 second dose, according to the Ministry of Health Union.
According to the 2011 census, the country’s population is around 12.6 lakh.
At present there are 4,384 cases of Covid-19 active in the state.
As many as 39,634 recovery and 204 deaths have been reported so far.
Other major problems are discussed during meetings, including extraction of petroleum and hydrocarbons and exploration networks, crimes and criminal tracking, Campa, road construction leading to ropes, multilevel parking in the civil secretariat and elsewhere in the state capital, Pradhan Mantri Beware of YOJNA ( both rustic and urban), MGNREGA implementation, etc.
The portal from the Ministry of Education and the State Control Room for Covid-19 management was also launched during the meeting.
