Imagerushkeen representational was in Singapore when his father arrested Coronavirus infection from his brother.
Everything was fine, until he caught a bacterial infection, which was anti-biotic.
Rushkeen lost his father 8 days after admitting him to the hospital.
This is the story of the covid and his lesson.
A nightmare began on April 20, 2021 when my father received a telephone call from Andheri’s neighbor who said his brother (unmarried) had an accident and needed to be hospitalized.
The relationship between my father and his brother was tense, my father was still going to take care of him.
Four hours are spent in ambulances between houses among hospitals.
His brother was found covid + ve.
Father began to get symptoms too.
We consult a doctor, who suggested getting a RPCR test.
Father was also found covid positive.
The condition of the father weakened and we admit it to PGH.
He was fine for the first few days.
Then the O2 level began to drop, he stopped eating and being treated in the ICU.
He was uncomfortable and nervous.
The hospital holds his hand and turns it off and places it in a non-invasive ventilator.
Only whatsapp video calls are allowed and I thank you for that.
Doctors do the best.
Father improved and left Covid Icu on the 18th, May.
Mother will go see her every day and we have high hopes.
In the main ICU, my father caught a bacterial infection obtained by secondary hospitalization which resisted antibiotics.
This was when everything became very serious and I flew down from Singapore just to find my father who was sought and wearing invasive ventilator.
He was an acute kidney failure patient at the time and was undergoing dialysis.
He never came out of his sedation.
Father died 8 days later because of blood clots.
It is the most heartbreaking period of life.
Lessons learned: 1) Please vaccinate
2) Secondary infections are very real and if they are contracted they can be fatal for patients who have weakened.
3) Keep your level of vitamin
4) Overcome your fears and guided by love, love, goodness and care.
I have to fly immediately to my father and don’t listen to people and leave him to the hospital! However, you are responsible for your life and decisions you take.
