Ramanathapuram: Sixty kg of cucumber of sea life boiled by criminals released in the sea off Rameswaram on Friday.
The sea cucumber was confiscated during the night patrol by the forestry department personnel attached to the Mandapam range, led by the Range Officer G Venkatesh at Pirappanvalasai Shore around midnight on Thursday.
The department personnel saw several people who left their ship, hiding their ownership in the sea and escaped from the place after they pay attention to uniformed personnel.
After searching for an hour with the help of moonlight and the light of the torch, the Department of Forest personnel found 35 kg of sea cucumber lives hidden in the sea.
They also confiscated 25 kg of ocean cucumber living within two wheels left by criminals.
The Live Sea depletion which was confiscated before Judicial Judge in Rameswaram and was released at sea on Friday.
