Mumbai: Detection of Covid-19 daily in Maharashtra continues to swim, even when the number of deaths rose to 167 on Friday from 120 days earlier.
In Mumbai, the daily calculation (373) is below 400 for the second day in a row and death falls into one digit (8).
On Friday, Maharashtra added 6,753 new cases with a total Caseload to 62.5 lakh and casualties to more than 1.3 lakh.
The total calculation so far in Mumbai more than 7.3 lakh and the toll road is 15,818.
Mumbai has a good week so far, because it has registered less than 500 cases every day.
Titly five days, until Friday, is 1,942 and 64 toll 64.
The highest single-day title during the second Covid-19 wave is 11.201 cases (April 3) and the highest single toll is 90 (May 1).
On Friday, the weekly growth rate of Covid cases fell to 0.05% and the doubling rate increased to 1,209 days.
According to BMC daily updates, 27,131 tests were carried out in Mumbai on Friday.
“Even though we can do less than a minimum of 30,000 tests a day, the level of the front is 1.37%,” said a civilian.
The additional Commissioner BMC Suresh Kakani said few steps in public places because the rain produced less tests.
Maharashtra also reported only 1.8 lakh covid tests and the number is expected to fall further over the next few days due to heavy flooding in several districts.
The State Minister Rajesh Tope said that he would soon meet the New Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandiviya to suppress more vaccine quotas for Maharashtra.
Tope said: “Maharashtra has the highest number of cases and vaccine allotments to be done by remembering it.
If we want to delay the third wave or even reduce their severity, resolve at least 70-80% vaccination of qualified population is the only choice.”
