WASHINGTON: State Secretary Antony Blinken will increase human rights issues and democracy with Indian officials during his first visit to New Delhi because both countries have more value in these fields than, according to US senior officials.
Blinken is scheduled to arrive in New Delhi on July 27.

The government has emphasized that the Indian Constitution provides adequate protection under various laws to ensure human rights protection.
Thompson stressed that relationships with India are strong ones who have experienced through the administration of all colors and lines in the United States and will continue to do so.
“We look forward to this opportunity for the Secretary to speak with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar, and continues to pursue a myriad area of the shared interest we have,” he said.
