Chennai: Former Minister of Chief and Coordinator with AIDMK Edappadi K Palaniswami on Saturday warned the Tamil Nadu government against efforts to re-elevate the sales of lottery in the state.
The Jayalalithaa government in 2003 was prohibited from selling all lotteries, including online, within the territory of the country.
In a statement, Palaniswami said the government would face a massive opposition if there was a country that introduced a lottery.
“He was very punished that they (DMK), who claimed that they knew how to support the government’s income before the ruling, decided to restore the lottery and turn the country into a grave,” said EPS, citing reports on government plans to reintroduce the lottery.
Palaniswami said the lottery had been allowed because of the noble cause but was destroyed later by the former MIN minister’s Mr.
Karanganidhi, who had allowed private entities to join business.
Lottery sales from other countries are also permitted.
A maximum of 50 different types are sold in the monthly lottery range to a single digit lottery.
“The lottery turns into a massive gamble like horse racing and card games.
Agents from other countries are printed and sold to people as a fake record,” said the former main minister.
Innocent poor people believe that they will become a millionaire immediately lose their family and lives.
Social crime destroys the lives of people and many innocent people who lose money to take their own life, said Palaniswami.
Only when Jayalalithaa took control of the second time in 2001, he decided to protect the people from the grip of the lottery robber.
His government made a policy decision in 2003 and prohibited Lotteral’s sales by issuing government orders, which were enforced by the Supreme Court.
