Coimbatory: Police Commissioner Tirupur vanitha has placed two police under suspension because it did not register the first information report (FIR) against the four marijuana vendors and did not object to the guarantee petition of someone involved in smuggling tobacco products forbidden.
The official source identified the suspended police as the B Jaishankar Police Inspector and MC Pandithurai Sub-Inspector, both inherent in Tirupur Central Center.
They did not register FIR with respect to this case.
When the city police commissioner came to find out this, he had moved Jaisankar to the Cybercrime police station.
“A few months ago, said the source, the Central Tirupur police had confiscated vehicles with prohibited tobacco products.” The accusation had managed to escape and move Madras High Court, seek conditional guarantees in June.
Jaisankar is not just objection to the guarantee petition but also fails to tell his senior about the guarantee details.
Pandithurai also failed to tell the same thing to senior officials.
“Vanitha then ordered an internal investigation towards both.” Based on the investigation report, the city police commissioner places a duo under the suspension on Friday to further orders, “said the source.
