PATIALA: The day after he took over as the new president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, Navjot Singh Sidhu on Saturday faced protest by agricultural activists in Chamkaur Sahib and Morinda in Ropar Regency, where he came to the leaders and party workers, including the Cabinet Minister Chararjit Singh Channi.
The head of the new Punjab congress even after he previously stated that the ongoing agricultural protest victory was the top priority.

The protesters claimed that Sidhu changed his routes after he learned that a large number of farmers stood on the road near the bus stand to protest him.
Previously, Sidhu went to meet Channi in Morinda, where he interacted briefly with the media.
“The victory of Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) is my top priority and I have called ‘Kisan Morcha’ this is as pure for strengthening the heart of the Indian constitution.
Our Congress Party has provided a pro-people agenda, 18 points for the Punjab model and each MP, MLA And party workers, including me, will work for it.
There are no other models, including Gujarat or Delhi, can compete with our agenda for Punjab, “he said.
He added low productivity and low income on agriculture has forced farmers to go for such agitation.
“This is my desire that this social movement turns into an economic power and farmers get their bread with respect.
Every time a farmer will call me, I will go there into it and will ask them to give advice about how the strength of our country can turn into strength farmer agitation, “he said.
