Tokyo: Indian men’s hockey team beat Spain 3-0 to register a second victory at the Tokyo Olympics here on Tuesday.
Drubbed 1-7 by Australia in their last match, India produced a performance spirit against the world No.9 Spain and scored through Simranjeet Singh (14th minute) and Ruplicinder Pal Singh (15 and 51) to record a comfortable victory in the third pool They are suitable at the Hoki Oi Stadium.
India had previously beaten New Zealand 3-2 in their opening match.
Spain, on the other hand, has not registered victory in the competition.
Spain drew 1-1 against Argentina before losing 3-4 to New Zealand.
Indians will play next to rule the Argentine Olympic champion on Thursday.
