Chennai: Covid-19 fresh cases in Tamil Nadu on Monday fell to 1,785 compared to 1,808 on Sunday.
Eleven districts including Tenkasi, Ariyalur, Krishnagiri, Thanjavur and Nilgiris saw a marginal increase in cases compared to cases reported on Saturday.
Death also rose until 26 on Monday from 22 on Sunday.
At least three districts have seen a stable increase for the third consecutive day.
Tenkasi, who reported nine cases on Saturday and 11 on Sunday, reported 27 new cases on Monday.
The cases in Thanjavur rose from 96 to 103 and from 39 to 43 in Villupuram.
After issuing 2,361 people from the Covid Registry country, there were 22,762 people undergoing treatment for infection on Monday.
Limitation of Coimbatore (164), Erode (127), Chennai (122), Thanjavur (103) and Salem (102), all other districts in this country reported less than 100 cases.
The PERAMBAL reported five cases – at least, followed by 11 each in Theni and Ramanathapuram.
The active case in Coimbatore fell to 2,028.
Chennai and Erode have 1,502 and 1,494 cases.
At the end of the day, health workers drew samples from 1.3 lakh people.
Of the 26 deaths, Coimbatore and Thanjavur reported four each, followed by two each in Chennai, Salem, Kanyakumari and Screens.
While the 10 districts report one death, 22 districts have reported zero death.
Meanwhile, the state received 4 doses of lakh covishield on Monday.
Health work vaccinated more than 3 lakh people in government centers took the calculation of cumulative doses at the public center to 1.97 crores.
Private hospitals in the state have been vaccinated by 14.2 lakh people since May1.
