Pune: Three unidentified men on Friday night opening machines for cash expenditure at ATMs outside the cooperative bank branch in Talegaon Dabhade, using duplicate keys and passwords, and stealing RS7.5 Lakh.
Theft was revealed on Sunday when the bank began to receive complaints about the illness in cash on the machine.
Branch manager, Raju Kambu (50), filed a complaint with Dabhade Talegaon police on Sunday night.
“The theft occurred between 9.05 a.m.
and 9:00 on Friday when the guard was resting,” Mahesh Murat, Police Sub-Inspector Talegaon Dabhade told TII.
“We suspect the involvement of people who know how to operate the machine because cash is stolen in a short time and the suspect knows the password,” he said.
Matakar said the bank was closed on Saturday, almost no one visited the kiosk because it could withdraw cash.
“On Sunday, some customers complain to the guards when they can’t attract cash.
The guards told the manager and were told to install the board ‘without cash’ outside the kiosk.
At night, bank officials find theft when they check the machine,” Matal said.
The police have recovered CCTV recordings on incidents from inside the kiosk.
There are three men and their faces covered with masks.
He said the police had collected details of people who operated the cash machine.
“We are working on several clues,” the officer said.
Both such events were within three days after the Dabhade Talegaon incident, RS15 Lakh was stolen from a cash casting machine from a cooperative bank in Bhosari.
The suspects use duplicate keys and passwords to open the machine.
