Nagpur: Nearly 9 Lakh people from the city have now been given at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
Commissioner of the city of Radhakrishnan B called it a “milestone” for Nagpur.

Vaccination 9 lakh people mean more than 50% of the total eligible people have given a vaccine.

46,535 Health workers took the first dose, followed by 53,452 frontline workers, 3,27,799 people from the age of 18-44 years and 4,70,493 people from the 45-added age group.
As many as 3,64,131 people took the second dose.
Thus, the total dose given in the city is 12,62,410.
The civic body facilitates covishield vaccination in 156 centers and Covaxin at five.
Vaccination also occurs in 23 private centers, which are five non-operational for a while on Tuesday.
Vaccination continued on Tuesday in 161 NMC centers.
23,353 People take Jab.
In 18 private centers, 876 people took Jab.
Thus, 24,229 people were given a vaccine in the city on Tuesday.
The Supplementary City Commissioner NMC Ram Joshi said vaccination would continue on Wednesday.
“Vaccination will be affected again on Thursday if the government does not supply fresh stock on Wednesday,” he added.
Joshi said, “Vaccination of people in bed will be carried out on Thursday if inoculation is not continued at all centers today.
This will be done easily because NMC receives less than 50 applications.”
