New Delhi: Twenty School Special Advantages (SOSA) will be launched on August 15 serving students in class IX to XII.
All of these schools, which are part of the first phase of the project, will be affiliated with the Delhi School Education Board (DBSE).
Maintaining Sos’s second general meeting and DBSE on Tuesday, Minister of Education Manish Sisodia made an announcement.
Toi has first reported about this step on July 21, after the Delhi cabinet, in March, approved the project.
Schools will be for those who have special skills and interest in certain study domains such as science, technology, engineering and mathematics (stem), humanities, performances and visual arts, and the 21st century skills of the upper class.
The government partnered with the Australian Council for educational research and Boston consultant groups to implement the project.
Among the 20, eight schools will specialize in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, five in the class of 21st century and two-class skills, and two in performances and visual arts.
In two years, around 100 such schools will be arranged to cover all domains in each education zone in Delhi so that children from all cities can access special schools in their environment.
“Students in Soses will receive excellent learning opportunities in their field of interest, which will enable them to join some of the best universities and institutions in the country and abroad.
It is important to identify and provide special education to students who have specific talent and Invalent interest, “said Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
In the first year, acceptance will be offered in class IX in the Humanities, Performances and Visual Arts, and the skills of the 21st century upscale, while in stem schools, reception will be given in class IX and XI.
Students who seek into Soses have to do a talent test.
The schedule will be announced later.

He added, “To create a progressive curriculum and the assessment structure for Delhi schools, the council partnered with the famous research and assessment organization, which is credited with designing a globally recognized program for the assessment of international students.”
