Hyderabad: Congress has demanded that the Chairman of the K Chandrasekhar Rao minister issue orders to the police to return the statue of BR Ambedkar and install it back in Punjagutta Cross Roads.
“If the KCR has true love for Dalit and does not pretend to win Huzurabad by-poll by Garlanding The Portrait of BR Ambedkar and hold lunch for SCS in Pragathi Bhavan, he must ensure that the statue of Ambedkar was taken back by the police and installed on Punjagutta Cross Roads, “said Veteran Congress and former MP member V Hanumanth Rao on Wednesday.
Rao remembered that GHMC officials and the government had insulted Ambedkar and Crores his followers by removing his statues and throwing it in the junk yard.
The local youth of Jai Bheem Group Panjagutta has installed a statue in Panjagutta Crossroads on the night of April 12, 2019.
“The statue was then removed, damaged and thrown into the garbage yard at Jawahar Nagar.
The incident made followers of Ambedkar and even members of political parties to protest.

Then, I got a new statue of Ambedkar but the police took it before it could be installed on the site Punjagutta, “he said.
The Government Trs can win the trust of Dalit only when issuing orders to the police to return the Ambedkar statue and install it on the Punjagutta site before the poll with Huzurabad was carried out.
Also, Congress welcomed the Dalitha Bandhu scheme.
A large number of Dalits suspects that the new Dalitha Bandhu scheme was announced by KCR CM only to win Huzurabad by-polls.
It must be implemented throughout the state, veteran congress demands.
GHMC and the police have twice took the statue of Ambedkar which stated that there was no permission for the installation in Punjagutta Cross Roads.
