NMC New State Delay Rules to Vax Bedridden

Nagpur: The state government which makes it mandatory for the approval and presence of a doctor who cared for Covid vaccination from people lying in bed and not moving has forced Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) to postpone planned programs.
It was to start investing in this category from Thursday.
The Civic body has received applications from 52 people.
Adult City Commissioner NMC Ram Joshi told TI that the state health department sent the guidelines on Wednesday.
“The doctor who cared is to wait and observe the recipient for 30 minutes according to the new norm,” he said.
Joshi added that those who obey the rules can be vaccinated on Thursday.
“Because of the lack of vaccines, only 45+ will be affixed.
Many of our staff will be free to be sent to bed houses.
However, this is not possible when 18-plus vaccination is happening,” he said.
The government has also made it compulsory that only covaxin is given to the bed.
Of a total of 52, 16 came from Laxmi Nagar Zone, 11 of the Mangalwari zone, 6 of the Dharampeth zone and the other from a different zone.
Vaccination continues in the city on Wednesday.
As many as 21,531 people took Jab in NMC and 954 centers in private centers with a total of 22,485.
In accordance with state data released on Wednesday, the Gondia took the lead among 11 Vidarbha districts in vaccination 18-44 years and 45-plus.
The estimated Gondia population was 14,51,008 among which 4.35,302 were 45-plus and 6.44,393 in the age group 18-44.
2,89,133 (66.42%) of 45-plus and 1.59,991 (24.83%) in 18-44 have received the first dose.
The Gondia is in fourth place in the state in 45-plus and third in the age group of 18-44 years.
The eighth Nagpur in the state and third in Vidarbha after the Gondia and Bhandara in 45-plus vaccination.
In the 18-44 year age group, Nagpur was in fourth place in the state and second after the Gondia in Vidarbha.
The estimate of the Nagpur population was 52,72,665 in which 15,81,800 from 45-plus and 23,41,591 from the 18-44 year age group.
9.48,239 (59.95%) from 45-plus and 5,76,939 in the 18-44-year-old age group had received the first dose.
