New Delhi: More than 500 people and groups have written to the Chair of the Indian Judge (CJI) N V Ramana who are looking for the Direct Intervention of the Supreme Court in the alleged Pegasus Snooping Matter.
They also look for sales moratoriums, transfers and use of Israeli Spyware NSO Israeli firms in India.
They have stated shock on media reports that spyware is used for supervision of female students, academics, journalists, human rights defenders, lawyers and victims of sexual violence.
In addition, the signatories of the letter have asked the upper court to adopt gender-neutral sexual abuse, data protection and privacy policy.
The letter also refers to the issue of alleged reconnaissance to Apex Court officials who have collected allegations of sexual abuse against the chairman of Judge Ranjan Gogoi.
