Thiruvananthapuram: Daily Covid Test in the country touched the highest peak on Wednesday because the total test carried out in 24 hours reached 1,49,534 on that day.
Meanwhile, 22,056 new Covid cases were reported on Wednesday with a testicitivity of testing at 11.2%.
Malappuram reported the highest number of cases with 3,931, followed by Thrissur (3,005), Kozhikode (2,400), Ernakulam (2,397), Palakkad (1,649), Kollam (1,462), alappuzha (1,179), ThiruvananThapuram (1,101)), Kottayam (1,067) , Kasaragod (895), Wayanad (685), Pathanamthitta (549) and Idukki (375).
A total of 131 Covid-19 deaths were reported on that day, taking the total number of Covid deaths to 16,457.
Among those who tested positive on Wednesday, 120 came from other countries.
A total of 20,960 suffered from a disease through contact.
Source 876 people are unknown.
17,761 people were restored from this disease.
The number of people who are currently under quarantine is 1,49,534.
As many as 3,125 have been received at the hospital on Wednesday.
