Gurgaon: The Ministry of Health has decided to establish 44 government session sites in the city on Friday for receiving 15,000 covishield doses and 2,000 doses of covaxin.
Of the 44 government session sites, Covishield will be provided at 38 sites, Covaxin on five sites and Sputnik v on one site.
Except for sputnik v, all other session sites will only provide a second dose.
“We got 15,000 covishield doses and 2,000 doses of covaxin.
The emphasis on the second dose is now.
Since July 25, demand for the second dose has increased and we expect requests to rise further in the coming days,” said Dr.
Virender Yadav, Chief Medical Officer , Gurgaon.
As many as 10,358 people in the age group 18-44 and 3,309 in the 45-Plus category were inoculated on Thursday.
A total of 186 health staff and 441 frontline workers also received Jab.
Overall, 14,294 shots – 7,999 first dose and 6,295 second dose – given on Thursday.
