Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad police on Wednesday arrested two people for allegedly abusing and attacking the police and police sub-inspectors, who were attached to the Chakan Police Station, when the last told them to use a mask.
The incident occurred on Wee Wednesday in Shel Pimpalgaon Village near Chakan.
The suspects – Ganesh Gundgal (28) and Amar Mohite are good from Mohitewadi in Khed Taluka – captured under the relevant parts of the Criminal Code.
“A team of Chakan police personnel was on the task of patrolling at night.
Around 12:30 a.m.
on Wednesday, the police team watched two men standing outside the restaurant.
Officers asked them why they came out at this hour – when the curfew applies – and why they are Not wearing a mask, “a police officer from the Chakan police station told TII.
“The duo claimed that they were locals and looked at the police in the police.
The suspects also attacked the police, causing them to a face injury,” the officer added.
