Dubai: Tanker Petroleum products managed by Israel’s Zodiac Maritime came attacked on Thursday in the Arabian sea, offshore Oman, the company said on Friday in what was suspected of piracy.
But the British Maritime Trade Operation (UKMTO), which provided maritime security information, said before it was not piracy.
The London-based Zodiac said on the website Mercer Street, a ship owned by Japan, was attacked.
Zodiac is owned by the Israeli family who will, according to the website.
The UKMTO said the ship was around 152 seats (280 km) northeast of the Port of Duqm Oman when attacked.
This does not detail anymore about the type of ship, any cargo, which belongs to him or about the possibility of the victim.
According to the tracking of the Eikon, The Mercer Street, a medium-sized tanker, went to Fujairah, a bunkering port and oil terminal in the United Arab Emirates, from Dar Es Salaam, in Tanzania.
Iran and Israel have exchanged charges over the past few months to attack their respective vessels.
