Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Friday expanded existing locking until August 9 without new relaxation.

Inter-country bus transportation (except to and from Puducherry), cultural and political events are also not permitted for the next 10 days.
Other commercial shops and companies will be permitted to function up to 9pm.
Hotels, bakeries, tea shops and roadside shops will also be left open until 9pm but only with 50% customer capacity.
The government’s order reaffirms that actions against those who violate social distance norms and other guidelines that fit Covid will continue.
