Pune: Minister of House of State Walse Patil on Friday said decisions about further relaxation in Covid-19 restrictions in the PMC and PCMC regions will be taken within a few days after Deputy Chairperson of the Minister Ajit Pawar discussed this issue with CM Uddhav Thackeray.
Speaking to reporters after the Covid review meeting, Walse Patil said that since Pune was among 11 districts with a weekly minister’s level higher than the average Maharashtra, decisions about any relaxation would be taken at the state level.
“Relaxation for the area of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) will be on the line of 25 districts that have been relaxed in the Timing Store,” he told the media.
Pune District has three administrative units – PMC and PCMC areas and rural pune.
Pawar is expected to talk to Thackeray and look for some relaxation in the Timing Store, as announced for 25 districts with a lower weekly front level.
The data distributed at the meeting revealed that the PMC area registered a weekly level of 3.4%, PCMC location 4.3% and rural pune 5.6%.
The overall weekly front level from Pune District is 4.72%.
The interior minister also emphasizes the need to increase vaccination speed and vaccine order for the second dose to ensure full coverage for the maximum residents in front of the possible third wave.
Hellid Minister Rajesh Tope stated that Covid restrictions will relax in 25 countries.
But Pune is among the 11 districts which are maintained so that it is not on the list because the Covid-19 indicator is higher than the country’s average.
The government has not issued the last command of relaxation.
For 25 districts, it has been agreed that the Timing Shop can be extended to 8pm, Sunday restrictions will continue.
