Pune: The Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR) recorded fewer Covid-19 (640) recovery such as opposing a new case (1,087) for the second day in a row on Friday.
A report released by the District Health Office stated that 324 patients recovered from Covid-19 infection in rural areas and Cantonese, while 243 was dismissed in the PMC and 63 limits in the Pimpri Chinchwad area.
Among new cases, rural areas and Cantonese added 688 patients.
The PMC and PCMC areas add 236 and 163 cases, respectively, in the last 24 hours.
So far, more than 10.84 lakh people have been positively tested at PMR, while recovery stands above 10.56 lakh.
The region did 22,435 tests to detect Covid-19 cases on Friday, which pushed total testing above 61.94 lakh.
As many as 10,336 tests were carried out in rural areas on Friday.
More than 6,900 samples were checked within the PMC limit and 5,094 in the PCMC area.
Daily deaths dropped to nine in PMR on Friday, with five people giving up on infection at PMC limits and two of each in rural areas and PCMC.
The total death in PMR stands at 18.296.
Active load kasel in this region rose to 9,765 after an increase in daily cases over the past two days.
4,296 patients were in isolation of houses in the region until Friday night.
