Thiruvananthapuram: The central team of six members led by Dr.
S Kingh, Director, Center for National Disease (NCDC), will travel eight districts in the state where more cases of Covid-19 are reported.
The Ministry of Health of the Union has sacred this multi-disciplinary team to the state to collaborate with the State Health Department in institutionalizing the effective public health measures for Covid-19 management considering the significantly improved way of Covid-19 cases reported here.
The team will be divided into two to get around eight districts.
It was decided to make a visit from Saturday.
The first team will have Dr.
Sujeet Singh, Dr.
Jain S, Advisor, Public Health, NCDC; Dr.
Pranay Verma, Deputy Director, NCDC and Dr.
Ruchi Jain, public health specialist.
The first team will visit Kollam and Alappuzha (Staurday), Pathanamthitta and Kottayam (Sunday) and Thiruvananthapuram (Monday).
This team will discuss with state health officials on Monday.
The second team of Dr.
P Ravindran, former DDG, DM Cell, the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Family and Dr K Reghu, additional director, Kozhikode branch, disease control center, Kerala, Will Be Touring Palakkad, Kannur, and Kozhur Kasaragod.
The team will specifically see areas such as testing, contact contacts, surveillance operations and detention.
These teams will assess the situation, suggest repairs and report public health activities carried out to the center and also to the state government.
The team will work with the State Health Department to take stock in land situations and recommend the public health intervention needed to contain a large number of cases reported in the country.
The state with active Kaseeload 1.54 lakh contributed 37.1% of the total active case in this country, with a growth rate of 1.41% in the past seven days.
