Ghaziabad: Special Posco Court on Friday sentenced a 36-year-old man to rape and the murder of a five-year-old girl at Khoda almost three years ago.
Special Judges (Pocso) Harshvardhan also imposed a fine of Rs 1.60 lakh above inmates, Deepak Singh, where RS 1.25 lakh will be given to the girl’s family as a total compensation.
According to the Special Public Prosecutor of Ukrarsh Vats, complaints of missing people were registered against unknown people at the Khoda Police Station on August 3, 2018, the day after the girl lost.
Singh, who runs the tax attached to the taxi aggregator, then lives as a tenant at the girl’s house.
After his arrest on August 7, the police told the media that on the night of July 2, Singh was watching a porn in the room drunk in his room when the girl walked around 8pm.
He raped the girl and then smothered him to death when he tried to raise the alarm.
“Singh save the girl’s body in a bag near the house stairs and then put it on the roof of his uncle’s adjacent house.
The next day, he also participated in search operations launched by his parents to track it,” Vats said.
The girl’s body was found two days later, on the morning of July 4, while post-Mortem was carried out on the same night.
The forensic team gathers some important evidence in this case.
The injury to the nose and lips and other direct evidence signaled sexual attacks on him.
With that basis, IPC part 376 AB (rape of a girl under 12 years) and other relevant parts of the protection of children from sexual violations (Pocso) is then added.
Seven witnesses were examined in this case.
