Nagpur: Maharashtra English Schools Trustees Association (META) has opposed the state government’s decision to encourage cutting costs 15% in private schools.
Sanjay Tayde-Patil, President of the founder of Mesta said such unilateral decisions would create further gaps between all stakeholders.
Tayde-Patil, who is in the city on Saturday, said Mesta will meet the Ministry of Education and violently opposed every step to implementing cost cutting decisions.
“The question really is how the state government applies cost cutting decisions? According to the law, the state does not have the power to determine our cost structure,” Tayde-Patil said.
“They are very aware of this fact but still decide to encourage it purely as part of the policy of the sound bank,” Tayde-Patil said.
When asked what about the parents who faced financial difficulties because Covid-19, Tayde-Patil said there was a need to understand the school side too.
“Many of our members voluntarily cut costs 25% and even offer full scholarships to those who lose parents.
But the government has chosen to ignore all these things,” Tayde-Patil said.
He added that the country’s decision, regardless of how it must be implemented, it will not stand in court.
Tayde-Patil said, “There is a scarcity of people who seem to understand the law.
