4% more than normal rainfall in Vidarbha so far

Nagpur: In some good news, Vidarbha has received ‘normal’ rainfall in June and in July, according to the official meeting.
Deputy Director General of Regional Meteorology (RMC), Nagpur, Mohanlal Sahu told Ti that the cumulative data of the two months revealed that the area had received 4% rainfall.
“This data from the start of the rainy season until the last day of July.
Among them, the area received less rainfall during the beginning of June and July.
But on the brighter side, this loss has been compensated,” he said.
In other positive developments, several districts including the previous rainy deficit Akola, now under the normal category.
“Even though they are still in the negative range, but like the scale they are not deficit anymore,” said Sahu.
According to RMC data, normal rainfall for Vidarbha is 477.7 millimeters (mm).
Until now, this region has recorded 497.2mm rainfall.
The highest rainfall for two months has been recorded in Chandrapur at 671.5 mm, against actual rainfall of 540.7mm.
Overall, Chandrapur has received excessive rainfall.
Nagpur, an average rainfall of 470 mm, has recorded 546 mm.
The lowest rainfall was recorded at Buldhana at 289.7mm.
In accordance with officials, the bathroom is expected to hit the area for the next five days.
“However, rain will be low to moderate,” said Sahu.
TI previously reported how in the second week of July the city had received 59.14% of the average rainfall for the month.
Also, the city has received more than 135% rainfall in June this year compared to the same month last year.
The Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) has expected Vidarbha to receive normal rain and above this monsoon.
According to his estimate, Southwest Monsun’s rainfall over Central India is likely to be 106% of the long period.
Southwest Monsun over the country is expected to be normal 96 to 104% of LPA.
