Hyderabad: Telangana tends to go to the next two elections to the legislature with 119 existing constituencies.
The number of assembly constituents in the youngest country in India is expected to rise to 153 – an increase of 34 seats – only in 2031.
The next assembly selection is two more years.
UNI State Minister Nityanand Rai on Tuesday reaffirmed in parliament that there were no immediate plans to take restrictions on the constituency in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
In accordance with Article 170 (3) Constitution, the total number of seats in the assembly of each country will be reorganized after the report published by Post Census-2026.
His clarification came in response to a question filed at Lok Sabha by Malkajgiri MP and President of TPCC A Revanth Reddy whether the center planned to limit the simultaneous constituency in Telangana along with Jammu and Kashmir.
The central government has changed the action in 2002 to go to limit the assembly constituency in the country after the census was taken in 2026, after a new constituency will appear in 2031.
Even the neighboring AP, who expects the number of assembly constituencies up from 175 to 225, must wait Until 2031.
A senior leader in Congress said the center was also considering increasing the number of Lok Sabha’s seats in the country.
Restrictions on Lok Sabha’s constituency can also be taken along with the post-census assembly segment-2026.
