Angul: Three people were beaten to death and their bodies were thrown into a river near a village under the limit of the Khamar police station.
While one body was taken from the river, the other two had not been restored.
Police Khamar has arrested seven people in this relationship.
The deceased has been identified as Motei Gagrei (48), Budhhhu Chattar (60) and his wife Muni Chatter (50) from Gitamunda Village, about 16 km from the Khamar police station.
The police said the three had been communicated by the villagers because they did not throw a party recently on the occasion of marriage in the family.
The incident occurred on Friday night while the deceased was asleep.
They were beaten to death and their bodies were then thrown into the nearest Samakoi River.
The next day the police Khamar was told about the incident.
During the investigation of several villagers told the police about the incident.
Police arrested seven people who recognized their crime.
