Noida: The Ministry of Health has warned private hospitals, which have more than 50 beds, actions if they fail to install oxygen mills or do not share updates in the next two days.
Previously, the department had asked all private hospitals to ensure oxygen security within a week.
Following the direction of the state government, all private hospitals with 50 beds or are more requested to install oxygen plants and those who have less than 50 beds are asked to ensure they have enough oxygen cylinders and concentrators.
“Last month, we have sent a letter asking all hospitals to respond within a week.
Some have obeyed and installed oxygen plants and several others were in the pipe.
They have assured me that the job will be completed on August 15-16.
For those Others, we will wait 48 hours ahead.
Then, we will check them individually and take action, “said Dr.
Shweta Khurana, Nodal Officer for oxygen security.
There are a total of 55 hospitals in Noida with 50 or more beds.
This includes six government facilities.
Of the 49 private hospitals with more than 50 beds, six have installed oxygen plants, while 11 others are expected to complete work in mid-August.
The six hospitals have installed the factory including Kailash Hospital in Noida and Greater Noida, green houses and mayo hospitals in Greater Noida, and SJM Hospital and Mayo in Noida.
However, more than 30 hospitals have not shared updates.
Officials said that 32 hospitals will be contacted from Thursday and so on to examine their oxygen plants.
Meanwhile, the department has around 100 hospitals and clinics registered with less than 50 beds.
It will be asked to ensure that they have enough oxygen cylinders according to the available ICU bed.
“Covid hospitals from the last wave and other private hospitals that have the potential to handle covid patients need extra carefully and make settings well on time,” added Dr.
Khurana.
In addition, all 11 oxygen factories are planned at the current operational government hospital.
There are five plants with a capacity of 1000 LPM (liters per minute), two of which are arranged at the Noida Covid Hospital in sector 39 and one in GIMS, PGI (SSPHPTI) and ESIC hospitals.
