Buxar: Hatred applies among 8,000 elementary and secondary school teachers in Buxar Regency on non-payment of salaries for three months.
This is separated from the fact that the Ministry of Education has issued funds to the district almost a month ago.
Sources connect non-payment of salaries to advertising hokism in the district education department since Deo’s transfer in June.
District Program Officer (DPO) Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and DPO (establishment) have also been transferred.
Senior DPO Prabodh Kumar, who has been given additional allegations from Buxar Deo, told this reporter on Monday, “the salary disbursement process can begin only after I get financial strength.” The Secretary of the Main Teachers Association of Bihar (GOPE faction), Nassem Ahmed, claimed that the body had made a special effort to get funds issued by the Ministry of Education to the district long before Bakrid.
“It seems that non-payment payments will damage other festivals too,” he said.
When contacted, the OSD education minister, Naveen Kumar, said Vijay Kumar Choudhary had acknowledged this problem and instructed the officials concerned to resolve it.
“Overall, Deo will only be posted in Buxar in one or two days,” he added.
Meanwhile, SSA DPO, Rajendra Prasad Choudhary, who was transferred from Buxar on June 30 along with Deo, was not relieved from his position.
Asking about him, Naveen answered, “Choudhary will also feel relieved in one or two days.”
