Yavatmal: A pine was registered against government land surveyors and two brothers for allegedly defeating suicide of a 37-year-old farmer in Yavatmal Maharashtra district, police said on Wednesday.
Farmers, Deorao Fartade, suicide by consuming poison at his home on July 27, said an official.
FIR, nesting by Fartade’s wife, stated that farmers were cheated by Vasudo Ekre and Raju Ekre in land transactions.
Farmers have bought three hectares of land from the Ekres in Hivramajra Village, but brother Duo in Convance with the Tumaskar Command Surveyor allegedly showed the actual area in the ownership of fart with 1.5 hectares in legal documents, officials said quoting complaints.
A case was registered by the Maregaon police against the trio below 306 (suicide reduction) and 34 (general intentions) from the Indian criminal code on Tuesday.
There is no arrest made so far.
