CM Hails Nikki, Salima & Deepika as a state icon, promised more prizes

Ranchi: The Chair of the Minister of Hemant Soren called the Salima and Nikki Pradhan Women’s Hockey Players and Archer Deepika Kumari the state icon and promised several prizes for them as soon as they returned from the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.
“Our girls have gave all the opportunities and reached the international stage.
They are the icon of the country.
We have planned many gifts for them as they returned,” said Soren.
The Jharkhand government on Tuesday submitted a check worth of RS 5 lakh each to parents of Deepika, Salima and Nikki in a program organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Arts, Culture and Youth.
Cash prize, which was given to the trio to secure the bed at the Olympics, came on the night of the Indian Women’s Hockey Team semi-final against Argentina at the Olympics on Wednesday.
Ajeya Raj, athletes based in Garhwa who will participate in the upcoming Paralympic match, also appreciated.
Ms.
Deepika Geeta Mahto, Sulakshan Sulakshan Pastor Tete and Sister Mahima and Nikki’s parents and Pradhan (father), Devi Jitan (mother) and Sister Sreyasi collected cash prizes on their behalf.
“Jharkhand makes progress in the field of sports and children we take a giant step forward.
But the more satisfying to be seen is how the girls stunned all the opportunities and soared forward,” said Soren.
CM said the temporary petention government focused on building advanced sports infrastructure in Pancayat and block levels to utilize sports talents from inland, the focus also financially supports the families of talented athletes living in poverty.
“The roadmap is being prepared.
We will make it public after being ready,” he said.
Soren also gave a letter of promise to 12 athletes recruited to the position of sub-inspectors and police in the Jharkhand police.
From them, five is the Bowler page, three are archers, one is a cyclist, one is a Wushu player and one is a track and athletes.
“Overall, 40 athletes have provided direct promises.
We also compiled a new sports promotion policy,” said Minister of Sports Hafizul Hassan said.
