New Delhi: In the middle of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the government has decided to provide free health insurance of Rs 5 Lakh to children up to the age of 18, the orphanage of the pandemic, said Union Minister Thakur.
Premium will be paid by the aid of ministerial citizens and assistance in emergency situation funds (PMCares), he added.
“As part of the steps taken to take care of children affected by Covid-19, children up to 18 years will be given free health insurance Rs 5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat and his premium will be paid by PM Care,” Thakur Tweeted on Wednesday.
He shared a picture along with a tweet that reads that children up to the age of 18, who have lost both parents or guardians, will be given monthly allowances, and in the 23rd round, a number of Rs 10 Lakh will be given.
According to an official statement, PM cared for the scheme of children launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 29, 2021, for children.
It aims to support children who have lost both parents or legal guardians or adoptive parents or parents who are still alive with Covid-19 pandemics during the period starting March 11 2020.
The purpose of this scheme is to ensure child care and protection A comprehensive child in a sustainable manner, and enables their well-being through health insurance, empowers them through education and equips them for independent existence with financial support at the age of 23 years.
