Coimbatore: Police All-Woman Thudiangur in Coimbatore on Wednesday arrested a 17-year-old boy to impregnate a little girl.
The girl, 17 years old, gave birth to a premature baby at a private hospital in Mettupalayam on Wednesday.
Premature babies, who are under medical observation at Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH), died on Thursday.
The police said the little girl and the little boy came from the same area and studied in class XII.
They attend classes online and often meet near their residence.
In December 2020, the boy raped him repeatedly at his residence, and the girl was pregnant.
The girl’s family didn’t realize it.
On Wednesday, the little girl suffered severe abdominal pain.
He rushed to a private hospital in Mettupalayam where family members learned that the girl was eight months pregnant.
The girl gave birth to a baby girl.
The girl and her baby was referred to CMC, where the last died.
Private hospitals told the All-Woman Thudiangur police.
The police registered a case against a small boy under Section 5 (L) (penetrative sexual attacks were compounded) Read with Part 6 (punishment due to penetrative sexual attacks compounded) from children’s protection of sexual violations (Pocso).
He produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and nested in the observation house.
