PUDUCHERRY: The active case of Puducherry Tally fell below 900-mark for the second time in three days with the Union region which recorded 888 patients with treatment for Covid-19 on Thursday.
UT recorded 81 new cases and issued 100 patients from the Covid registry in the last 24 hours ended at 10 am on Thursday.
Of the 888 active cases, 721 were in house isolation.
Puducherry head office reported maximum new cases with 62, followed by Mahe (12), Karaical (6) and Yanam (1).
Puducherry headquarters also have maximum active cases with 657, followed by Karaikan (125), MAHE (78) and Yanam (28).
UT did not report Covid-19’s death on Thursday, leaving the toll road unchanged at 1,798.
So far, Puducherry headquarters has maximum death with 1,424, followed by Karaikan (231), Yanam (105) and Mahe (38).
The mortality rate reached 1.5% and the recovery rate at 97.8%.
The sample front level (5,953) tested on Thursday reached 1.4%.
The health care authority has so far provided 7.22 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine (including the second dose) to beneficiaries.
