LUCKNOW: A Lucknow-based private hospital operator, that was booked for”spreading rumours” about air deficit, was detained for allegedly assaulting a worker of a TV news station, authorities said on Tuesday. Sun Hospital’s Akhilesh Pandey was detained on Monday following a complaint has been registered by Nitin Mishra, station house officer, Vibhuti Khand, Chandra Shekhar Singh explained. Mishra in his FIR alleged that he went into the hospital at Gomti Nagar on Monday for advertising of his station when Pandey restricted him for hoursbeat him up and took his golden chain and money. The FIR was lodged under IPC sections 392 (prosecution ), 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (voluntarily causing damage ), 504 (deliberate insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation). Pandey’s attorney Abhinav Nath Tripathi advised,”The executive of this station misbehaved with my customer. He had been attempting to blackmail him. The hospital also had CCTV footages which authorities removed and also have deleted the associated footage” Tripathi further said they have applied for bond and accused the authorities of not amusing Pandey’s criticism against the information station worker. But the police has denied that the charge of being siphoned against Pandey. The hospital proprietor had previously been reserved on May 5 to supposedly giving incorrect info regarding the availability of oxygen in the centre and turning patients away. The district government had registered an FIR against him after officials discovered considerable oxygen inventory in the hospital. Speaking about this particular matter, Tripathi said,”We’d gone into Allahabad High Court having a criticism against the government. This is an attempt to confuse him (Pandey).” “We have relief in the Allahabad High Court on May 11. The court had remained any coercive actions against Pandey in relation to the situation. We’ve composed a letter to Allahabad high court chief justice looking for aid in the issue,” he further added.
