The four defendants allegedly hatched the evil plan to kill Nikhil Prajapati (34) at Nandida Crossroads near Bardoli on Thursday.
Police investigations revealed that Prajapati, the owner of the Glass and Aluminum Panel shop, began living with a woman who recently divorced from 34-year-old Gondaliya sticky rice, owner of the Farsan shop, and a close friend of the victim.
Gondaliya, which is the key accused of this case, offended by relationships that cause competition between them.

Besides Gondaliya, the police arrested Vishal Rathod (28), Hitesh Vaghrai aka Email (21) and Badal Rathod (20).
Sagar Vansfodiya, which was accused of fifth, the mastermind of the deadly attack, still avoided the arrest, police said.
The contract to kill Prajapati was given by Gondaliya through Vishal for RS 2 Lakh to the other three accused of carrying out the plan.
The police identified Vansfodiya, e-mail and Badal from the recording recording of the CCTV from the route where the trio escaped after killing Prajapati.
The police also match call data records, where it proves that all come into contact with each other.
Prajapati is a native resident of Shishli Village in Porbandar while Gondaliya comes from Dorjaji in Rajkot.
This duo was once very close and Prajapati would often visit home and chat Gondaliya for hours.
Gondaliya marriage with rocky chanda when the duo often fights each other and in the end they divorced in January.
As soon as they separated, Chanda went to live with Prajapati with whom he had a court marriage, police said.
“Gondaliya felt offended that his ex-wife now lived with his close friend and as a revenge planned the murder,” said a police officer.
