Lucknow: In a record that breaks the record, the government has succeeded in distributing more than 1.71 lakh metric tons of free food grains to more than 81 lakh ration card holders that day on Thursday, when PM Narendra Modi marked the fresh round of superior middle.

This PMGKAY round will continue until August 16 in the state, which has 3.6 ration card holders covering 14.86 crore receivers.
Adult Food Commissioner Anil Kumar Dubey said, a new milestone in the distribution of food granules to 81.59 lakh card holders surpassed the record one day earlier in September 2020, when 79.6 lakh ration card holders were distributed 1.68 lakh tons of grain.
“This time, the Nodal officer who was represented in all districts ensured that the distribution of 5kg food granules (3kg of wheat and 2kg rice) per unit on an accelerated backpack card.
The festive atmosphere also contributed slightly in creating a new record,” he said, when talking to TOI.
Involvement of community representatives, including MPS MPs, MLAS and Zila Panchayat members and members of the distribution of grains that are accelerated to beneficiaries.
