Varanasi: State Minister (Independent Load) for Tourism and Religious Affairs, Neelkanth Tiwari, met people in flooded areas along the Varuna River and convinced them to all possible assistance by the government.
Tiwari along with NDRF personnel entered the flood-affected areas including Konia, Saraiyya and Rajghat along the Varuna River by boat and also reached the maturity streets to meet the population.
Tiwari convinced people that assistance operations have begun by the regional government and all those people, who want to shift to safer places, will be sent to help camps.
The boat will be available for people, who want to go to their preference places.
The minister said the setting for aid package for flood hit people had also been carried out while Chief Medical Officer was asked to involve doctors’ cellular teams with rescue lives and other important drugs to provide direct assistance to people in an emergency or health problem .
He said BDRF personnel would continue to stay close to the situation.
