Thane: The police took custody of the developer of Sanjay Punmiya and his aide Sunil Jain in a case of extortion registered by the Police of Kopri, where the Singh Param IPS officers and other police officials were accused.
The duo was in the marine drive police detention in another extortion case, where Singh was accused.
The duo was sent by the court here for police detainees until August 12.
Punmiya and Jain were arrested on July 22, where Shyamsundar Builder Agarwal filed complaints of extortion against them and others, for allegedly trying to squeeze Rs 20.
