Thane: At least six houses were broken in Kalwa following a landslide on Sunday morning.
No one was injured in the incident, said a disaster management official.
Landslides took place at the Lokalitas Indira Nagar after large rocks rolled in the area, Thane Municipal Corporation Cascents Cascent Compan (RDMC) Cell (RDMC) Santosh Kadam said.
As a precautionary measure, occupants of 20 to 25 houses in the area shifted to a civil school at Gholai Nagar, the official said.
The local fire extinguisher and the RDMC team rushed to the site and emptied six damaged houses.
Further operation by the authorities is underway.
Previously, in July, many lost their lives after heavy rains caused landslides in Raigad Regency, Ratnagiri, Pune, Satara and Kolhapur.
