Thane: The police have registered a case against the driver of the car in Thane in Maharashtra because it runs on a wild dog, who lost vision in the incident, an official said on Sunday.
The incident occurred on Friday morning near Raheja Garden where the eight-year-old dog suffered an injury in his left eye and his face, the official said.
The police registered a case against the driver of the car under Section 429 (damage by killing or clogging of livestock, etc., from any value or any animal of fifty rupees) and 279 (drive in the public way) from India KUHP (IPC) and Prevention of cruelty towards the animal law, he said.
No one was arrested.
