Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 499 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths on Sunday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 8,406.
The total number of cases from the beginning of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.49.406 and the death toll was 3,825.
The number of active detention zones in the country amounted to 29.
Apart from two detention zones in Hyderabad, Jagiyal, and Karimnagar have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
623 patients were declared recovered on Sunday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.37,175.
Case Fatality Rate (CFR) stood at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reached 98.11 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Sunday, 79,231 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed a sample test of 2.28 crores and has reached 6.13 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 73 cases on Sunday, while Medchal Malkajirgiri adjacent to 30 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 35 and Sanga Reddy recorded 6 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar recorded the highest number of cases with 52 new cases recorded on Sunday while Jangaon, Peddapalli, Yadadri Bhongir, Warangal Urban and Khammam saw more cases.
