JAMSHEDPUR: Minister of Health State Banna Gupta raised concerns over the increase in pollution level and said that the use of clean fuel was the needs of the clock.
Gupta said that time has arrived when public transportation, including autorickshaw, must use clean fuel such as CNG.
He said in the tricycle diesel-run must be converted into vehicles that fit CNG so that the level of pollution can be lowered.
In particular, the district transportation department in the past has issued direction to the autorickshaw union that after January 2022, the administration would not allow diesel-running troubles on the streets of Jamshedpur.
The owner of the showroom was also told to sell vehicles that fit CNG.
There are currently more than 30,000 diesel-run car horns on city streets.
The Minister on Sunday said that the transition to CNG must be done to protect the environment, but at the same time it must be remembered that most of the automatic drivers are bad so that they turn to new fuels should not make holes in their pockets.
Gupta suggests to switch to CNG to be done gradually.
The minister assured that he would take a problem with the Transportation Commissioner and find a solution.
Gupta remembers the early days of his political career when he led the Union Drivers Auto Rickshaw in the steel city.
He thanked the drivers because he always supported him in his political career.
Gupta added that he had even gone to prison in the past to fight for the rights of the driver.
On Saturday night it was a pleasant surprise for the automatic driver at the Sakchi roundabout.
The Minister stopped in front of the car stand and began chatting with the driver.
Then he was seen in the driver’s seat in one of the cars and with some of his followers in the back seat, turning on the vehicle’s ignition key.
Gupta drove a car in the Sakchi area and the journey of this joy hard cheered by a large number of followers there.
