New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey once again fell on the leader of the Congress and Chairperson of Parliament Panel on Information Technology Shashi Tharoor for saying BJP members “disrupted” the committee meeting on Pegasus.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Dubey claimed “the leaders of corrupt and liar congress”.
“They deteriorated the parliamentary committee with their lies.
He (Shashi Tharoor) said the committee was informed on (July) 28 of the unhurth of information technology (IT) about a meeting (on Pegasus), but it was not true,” he said.
.
According to the BJP leader, “on July 23, the Secretary of it himself told them (opposition) of his ignorance for the meeting because of the ongoing parliamentary session.” “On July 27, the Secretary of the House also reaffirmed.
But Shashi Tharoor is only interested in politicization, instead of discussion,” Dubey added.
On July 28, the Meeting of the Information Technology Parliament Committee led by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor to discuss the case of Pegasus reconnaissance with ministry officials was not held in the absence of quorum.
The committee has also called officials of the Ministry of Information Technology.
However, only nine BJP parliamentarians participating in meetings and quorums were not fulfilled because nearly 10 parliamentarians needed for meetings to go further.
After the meeting was canceled, Dubey moved the movement of privileges against Shashi Tharoor and demanded the elimination of the Congress parliament from the position of Chair of the Standing Parliament Committee on it.
However, on July 29, the day after Dubey moved the movement of privileges against it, Tharoor said that because there were no procedures formed followed in introducing the movement of privileges, he did not have validity.
