YouTube tests new ways to pass videos
Written by news2in

YouTube seems to be working on new and easier ways to help users jump to certain parts of the video on the platform.
As reported by a redditor through toiletpolice, it is testing the movement where someone can tap and hold back, and then drag to the right or left of the screen to rub the video.
At present, users need to tap the screen to bring the progress bar and then tap and hold it to rub the video.
The movement was introduced last year to replace the ability to knock anywhere in the search bar to pass the video.
However, this is frustrating for users, especially when the tap is not intentional.
With a new movement, the user will see the message “left or right slide to search” above the video to confirm that the movement was triggered, and unintentionally.
This feature was launched as a server side test and available on YouTube version 16.31.34 Beta (APK Mirror).
In other news, the company has announced the YouTube Shorts Fund, $ 100 million for the Creator.
Funds, said YouTube, will be used to appreciate the creator for their viral videos for 2021-2022.
Payments will begin from this month (August) and YouTube will reach the eligible makers.
Under this program, content makers can get results from $ 100 (RS 7,400 around) to $ 10,000 (Rs 7,40,000) on YouTube.
